Ayat Ayat Cinta directed by Hanung Bramantyo.Cast: Fedi Nuril, Ryanti Cartwright, Carissa Putri, Zaskia Adya Mecca, Melanie Putria, HJ. Mieke Wijaya. Carissa Putri is one of stars who played in Ayat- Ayat Cinta story adapted from novel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Oh and for our non-Asian members of the online family, Hari Raya Aidilfitri (also Hari Raya Puasa, literally "Celebration Day of Fasting") is actually the Malay term for the Muslim Festival of Eid ul-Fitr. Hari Raya is also known as Lebaran. The term 'Hari Raya' literally means "Day of Celebration". The main greeting used by Muslims in Malaysia and Singapore is "Selamat Hari Raya" which means "Happy Eid" in Malay. Another greeting is "maaf zahir dan batin" which translates loosely to "I seek forgiveness (from you) physically and spiritually", for Hari Raya is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others. So to all our Malay and Muslim online family members, I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, maaf zahir dan batin. *smile* Hope you'll have a great week with your family and friends, and of course, collect lots of duit raya! Hehe.

It’s called the pan-Asian face, and it usually means olive skin, black hair – and probably a Caucasian parent. Beauty now has joined that parade, particularly as a rising tide of mixed marriages, not only in Malaysia but across much of Asia, seems to be creating a new super race of beautiful women. Over the past couple of decades they have taken Asia’s modeling world by storm and changed the very definition of international beauty. They largely dominate magazine advertisements, fashion shows and catwalks from Singapore to Manila to Hong Kong. Some modeling agencies, like Elite Model Management of Hong Kong, have built their business on the faces of mixed-blood models.
